Meet the Symphony Musician

< Back to Museum Programs

The Virginia Discovery Museum is proud to partner with the Charlottesville Symphony for two Meet the Symphony Musician musical education programs each year. During each visit, an orchestra member demonstrates a featured instrument and accompanies a guest reader during a musical story time. Afterward, visitors are invited to interact with different instruments from the featured family during a hands-on instrument petting zoo. Instrument families are featured on an alternating basis: strings and woodwinds one year, brass and percussion the next year.
