Supplies
- Electric Mixer
- Mixing Bowl
- Dish Soap
- Kool Aid Packets, Gatorade Mix, or Food Coloring
- Big Plastic Tub (Optional)
Instructions:
- Add ¼ cup warm water to your bowl.
- Squirt a heavy dose of dish soap into your bowl.
- Add one of your Kool Aid packets (or Gatorade mix/food coloring).
- Mix with an electric hand mixer for 2-3 minutes until fluffy.
- Optional: If you have a big, plastic tub, dump your fluffy suds into it and repeat the steps above with different colors.
Age Adjustments
- Younger Children:
- Leave suds in tub for a sensory play experience.
- Toss in some toys for them to wash with the suds. (Remind them that the foam won’t taste good.)
- Talk about different colors and how they mix together.
- Older Children:
- Talk about different colors and how they mix together.
- Challenge them to mix a specific color.
- Predict what would happen if you freeze your suds.
- Predict what would happen if you microwave your suds.
