Robot Rally: Cubelets

< Back to Museum Programs

Tiny Robots, Big Lessons

The Virginia Discovery Museum is excited to partner with program sponsor S&P Global to introduce Cubelets to our visitors during two special Robot Rally programs in April and May 2018. These fascinating and intelligent little robots are pre-programmed modular blocks that combine in endless ways and encourage creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Each Cubelet has a special ability: SENSE Cubelets cause robots to respond to external inputs like light and proximity, THINK Cubelets filter inputs in different ways to change the way robots act, and ACT Cubelets allow robots to do cool things like spin, move, and emit light! There’s no wrong way to build with Cubelets, and the magnetic faces make it easy for builders as young as 4 to switch and swap blocks to construct new and exciting robots.
