Take a walk on the wild side at Wild About Reading, a Virginia Festival of the Book StoryFest event! Join the Virginia Discovery Museum, Wildlife Center of Virginia, and Community Idea Stations for demonstrations with non-releasable wild animals as you meet some of the feathered and furry friends who call our state home. Discover how different animals adapt to cold weather – through migration, hibernation, or simply toughing it out – and how human activities can affect them during this difficult season. Children will receive a free wildlife-themed book.

What is StoryFest?
